1 mile warmup, 4 miles @6:40, 1 mile @6:22. Although this was on the treadmill, this was a confidence booster for me. I have pretty much been in maintenance mode all summer, and really haven't done a decent tempo workout in a while so it was good to settle into a nice turnover for a longer chunk. Aerobically I really felt great for this run. It took about a half mile to get adjusted to the 6:40 pace on the treadmill, but once I did, the miles rolled by pretty easily. I decided to bump up the last mile just to give myself a little bit of a challenge, but I still finished feeling strong and in control of my breathing.
