Another ratchet up on pace. Still not 8:11, but better. Another couple of stops for "lights," but more than needed to be. Still, getting some results from this; the average pace per mile is dropping noticeably, and I'm also making progress on stride length and cadence. Middle six miles, probably averaged better than 8:20 ... can't discount heat as a factor on degree of difficulty. Noticeable progress, bottom line.
