HOTT!!!
Dang, hottest weather I've run in in a while...reminded me of my run in Georgia...! Although I'm in much better shape now, this 9 mile run felt easier than the 2 miles I ran in GA.
I knew it was going to be hot, so I wore my neck cooler and brought a 16 ounce Poland Spring (which I believe I refilled 4 times - that means I drank 80 ounces (or 10 glasses) of water on this run!)
NO pain in the AT! Whew hoooO! I did a QUICK stretch before the run and I need to do a cool down stretch now to keep the muscles loose.
Breathing was great, I held an AMAZING pace for the conditions, I am quite proud of myself and the last quarter mile I was running under a 9 minute pace - that's AFTER over 8 miles in almost 90 degree temperatures! Go Me!!!
I was shooting for 10 miles, wanted to stop at 8, and ended up finishing 9 strong. Good run.
