I was debating on whether to run this evening after having a rough weekend with my back and knee. So i went into this run with the idea that i could stop it short if i needed to. The knee was a little nuisance at the beginning but after about 20 minutes of running it started to loosen up and felt fairly good. I did wear the HR monitor just to keep the effort in check and that helped me to truly keep it easy. Overall it was a pretty good run that left me feeling better than when i began and i guess that's progress. I was thinking during my run about this past year all the high spots and low spots, and then it all came into perspective to me when i compared to the health problems that i was fighting a few years ago and how that i managed to slowly build my way back up to where i am today then i can't help but to say this has been a great year. Maybe not the year i wanted, but still a pretty great year. Hopefully things will continue to go well in 2013, and hopefully i will get closer to or finally achieve that BQ time i have been trying to run down for about 6 years now.
