Felt pretty good on this one tonight. It was a little warmer than i had anticipated, but not too bad though.I figured i would b more beat up after Saturday and Sunday's runs, but the emphasis on recovery must have made the difference. Things got rolling pretty good from the beginning and the pace dropped on each successive mile going down the blvd. Then i ran the carriage trail kind of as a recovery in the shade then kept the effort steady down the hill and as i went back up MacCorkle. I did some approx 200 met strides for the last .50 or so with short walk recoveries(.05) or about 40 to 45 seconds each. Splits for the run:8:48,8:44,8:32,8:13,9:42,7:39,7:57,and splits for the 200's (.13 except the 3rd one was .14)followed by recover period:52/42(6:47 pace),52/42(6:40),56/39(6:40),50/11(6:23), and 53 seconds(6:35 pace) then remainder jog cool down(.18) in 1:32(8:43) Plan is for some type of speedwork tomorrow if the body is ready.
