Workout was supposed to be 4-6 miles at some point at 9:30 or a little faster. I guess I exceeded this a bit. I ran with Sat & Nathan, and told them my workout and they were game to do it with me. So we got started running and suddenly I realized midway through mile 2 that we were already at 9:30s. It had cooled down from the horrid humid-ness from earlier thanks to the rain and wind, so it felt pretty decent (at that point), so I rolled with it. Around mile 6ish, we were going to slow it down --- but the pace just kept slipping faster. We'd slow it down for a little then next thing we knew, it was back faster again.

On the down side, my glute is feeling a little cranky. I felt some small pains earlier in the week but they were pretty intermittent and not that unusual. Today it just felt tighter --- it loosened up on the run, but feels a bit more achy than normal afterward. I'm icing as we speak, and taking Advil. I'll keep an eye on it. I already have an appt with a PT (Michael Rodreguez) on 7/8 -- i started seeing him for his RunStrong program. I think instead of focusing on my strength plan at that appointment, i'll have him dig into it a bit to nip it in the bud.
