workout: 30 mins at GRP (schedule says 8:57, I was targeting 8:50)

Desi's quote about "keep showing up" was very applicable to me today. (the full quote is "Some days it just flows and I feel like I'm born to do this, other days it feels like I'm trudging through hell. Every day i made the choice to show up and see what I've got, and to try and be better. My advice: keep showing up" I definitely felt like I was trudging through hell and just needed to show up today.

I just didn't have it today. Even the warmup felt sucky. It's funny, I could have sworn my HR was through the roof even on mile 1 (in reality, it was avg 122). So I wasnt sure how in the heck I was going to be able to drop my pace to GRP. It wasn't easy, and it wasnt fun, but I just put my head down and and got it done.

A bit depressing -- of course thoughts like "how can i do this for a marathon?" roll through my head. But I know I've hit those paces and felt good at the end of long runs. (plus ... this is TMI ... but I've got major PMS and just feel kinda pooped anyways.... ). I was a wee bit fast too :)
