uffda! That was probably one of my hardest 20 milers ever!

I decided to go park at the Victoria Elementary School, which is right in the middle of where I wanted to run. I wasnt sure if the drinking fountain was still on and wanted to keep some fluids in my car, which worked out nicely.

The good news: I felt pretty good for the most part on the GRP portions. They certainly werent easy, but felt mostly doable.

The bad news: The last 5 miles really sucked! I kept thinking "Just get through the GRP portions and then you can take it easy the last miles". Well, even though my pace was easy, it sure didnt feel easy. In fact, the last 2-2.5 miles felt like a death march. My legs were just dead and my HR felt super high (it wasnt as bad as I thought it was though). I really had to push myself to finish up.

But -- I guess the good news -- last time I did a long run on this course, I did 15 miles with I think 3 x 2 miles at GRP, and I remember having the "death march" feeling the last 2-3 miles then. So i did a lot more miles at GRP and 5 more miles.

My foot felt ok -- the part that had been sore. Had some odd aches and pains here and there on both feet -- part of me wonders if i need different shoes? But yet makes me anxious to change so close to my race...
