Solid easy run with Rob. Ran the "Cursed Kelzer Pond" route --- I call it that because my hammies usually end up feeling cranky after running this route! But yet I need/want to run it because it's hilly and will best prepare my legs for CIM! After I ran this the last time, I think I figured it out that it's the last huge hill that's been causing the issues -- it's towards the end and I usually sprint up it in a "let's get this mo-fo over with" mindset. This time I deliberately slowed down and took the hill easy, and made sure i was using my glutes more instead of beating up my lower hammies. Let's hope that did the trick -- I'd really like to hit this route a lot, because of the big downhills, but yet I dont want to keep getting injured either!
I felt fine today --- but funny how some days my "easy" is 9:30-9:40 and some days it's slower. Today was more of a 10 minute easy pace kind of day.
