Workout: 4 x 1.5 miles (1 mile at 8:20, 1/2 mile 8:00, 1/2 mile recovery)

I went into this workout wondering if I was going to be able to hit the paces and hold them or not. Some days you've got it, some days you dont. Thankfully, today was a good day. I knew after about 0.25 into the first mile of the workout portion that I was feeling good today. I was a little slowish on the first set, but the rest were pretty good.

I lucked out out today, and Taya came out. She's faster than me but was happy to do my workout with me. So it was nice to have company and she did a great job at helping to keep me on pace and keep me motivated.

Only down side is my glute started to hurt a bit in the last set. It had been getting better, but I tripped during my run on Friday and pulled it a little, so it was kind of cranky Friday night. But it felt ok on my run yesterday, and actually felt better after the run. I didnt feel it at all today until the third set, when I felt it just a slight bit. We stopped midway through the 4th set to grab some water, and I stretched it a little then -- and then it felt really stiff the rest of the way. I'm sitting on ice as we speak. I may make tomorrow my off day to rest it, depending on how it feels.
