This turned out better than I was expecting. We ran outside -- it was finally a little warmer out today --- but once we got out, I was regretting our decision because the paths were not overly great. Some stretches were ok, but lots of sections were not. The warmup mile felt really sucky, so I wasnt optimistic about the workout -- figured I'd do a progression run at equivalent effort, but given the condition of the path -- wasnt sure I could hit the paces. But I did and more!

I told Rob -- my last mile -- while it shows 8:24 -- I feel like that was more of an 8:00-8:10 effort! We did most of the workout going around the Chevalle Pond -- and that has some gradual uphills and downhills around it. But on that last mile, first I hit the worst uphill section from about 0.40 to 0.70 -- but then we turned off the circle to head back to our house. So the last 1/4 mile was even more of an uphill AND the path/roads were WAY WORSE. Big stretches were through unplowed crap. (if you look at the elevation map on RA -- you can see it -- right about mile 5) So extra credit for that last mile! (I was at about an 8:18 going into the last 0.25 -- so the hill and snow slowed me down for sure) My HR is evidence of that ... I was really breathing hard that last 1/4 mile (and possibly cursing at the same time .. haha)

On the downside, lousy job at hitting exact paces :(. but I did exceed the paces :)
