Whew! This was a grind!

I did my first couple of miles with Ellen, Meghan and Taya. Taya and I kinda split off midway through mile 3. Then she did the first set of 3 with me, which was nice. I had figured I'd be on my own for the bulk of the run, so it was nice to have company through the first 8.

The first set went really good, I felt pretty good. The second set mostly went well, although the very last mile kinda sucked because I had to go up the hill that connects the path to the Ford bridge. And that's where things started to go downhill. During the recovery after the second set, my legs all of a sudden felt like lead. Sooo heavy. Which didnt really help my mental state going into the third round.

I really struggled badly on the last set (which yeah, I know, my paces dont reflect that). There were a lot of stops and starts. I really had to talk myself into it, telling myself "yes, it's hard --- but it's supposed to be hard". Not sure why i then pushed the pace.

Once I got to the cooldown, I figured it would be smooth sailing -- but I still felt like crap on the last 1/2 mile recovery and also the first cooldown mile. I only picked it up and felt slightly better on the last mile just because I was so happy to almost be done!

Overall it was still a really good run, but it was for sure a grind!
