No Frills Time Trial - Note that it has now been changed from a race to a time trial. After an extensive statistical investigation throughout the Oswego, Plainfield, Naperville, and Aurora districts, it has been gathered that no one is interested in running 3.2 miles on the worst course in the state, unless there are frills involved. This of course, leaves no participants but ourselves, who don't mind an uneventful race, as we have already acclimated to the unfrilly nature of Oswego East distance. Sure, it would be cool to have a slip n' slide at every mile marker, or a giant inflatable wolf at the finish. Even a free t-shirt would satisfy me. But those are frills. They have no place in the OE Distance program, and we have come to accept it.
But seriously, a "No Frills Time Trial"? The name just doesn't work anymore. Who would expect frills at a time trial? Needless to say, this race was straight trash, and my leg is killing me now. No cool-down. My leg was in no shape for that.
