Notes
Pretty fun race. Kyle wanted to start out in 5 minutes and work down so I set out to start with him and hang on for dear life. I was in the waterfall and the barrel seemed to start slow so I was ahead of him and Ryan by a couple seconds through the mile in about 4:56-7. At that point I was probably 4th or 5th in the heat. I slowed a little for a couple laps I think and ultimately finished 2nd in the heat, gaining on the leader in the last lap or two but not enough. Felt very smooth. This is about what I thought I could do on an ideal day, so I'm probably in better shape than I think because this wasn't a "go to the well" effort
