Foley Track

Notes

Swapped the early-in-the-week tempo for some intervals since I'll be doing a tempo during Sunday's long run. Wanted to get close to the "10x400m" feeling with a bit more of a 5k focus. This is "A1-super-day-5k-goal-pace." Didn't get too tough until the last 3 reps or so thanks to the 2 minutes in the middle. I think if I had taken that out, the workout would have been significantly harder and I might have needed to extend the rest to hit the times I did.

The slightly weird thing about this workout was doing it in the dark at Foley. WPI was busy with club lacrosse so I didn't have too many other options and it was getting late, about 8:10 when I started on the track. I think the darkness made it hard enough to see the start/stop/200m mark of some reps that I had a little bit of a harder time judging pace than I might normally, at least in the first few before I got a feel for it. It did make me run a couple seconds long on a couple recoveries, but whatever.
