2 laps warmup, 3 sets of 1000m @ 5K, 2min recovery, 600m faster than 5K, 4 min recovery. Did this with the top JV group, running about 5:40/5:20 and it felt surprisingly easy. I think I'm a little fitter than I think, but I also don't think much at all when I run with the team and that makes it easy. Challenging workout for the 3 JV groups I had (staggered by about 15s per mile race paces) but they handled it well and I hope it gave them some confidence for this weekend. Would love to see them crush their races.
Half mile warmup, no jogging in the recovery, no cooldown, so I am surely going to running hell now. Would have liked to get 5-6 miles in but whatever, it was a good practice and I'll do a little something tomorrow or Thursday.
Also, I'm realizing I like running fast in these shoes but not running easy. Gotta remember that.
