Hoped for mid 4:30s but wasn't sure how this would go. Made a point of starting on the slow side so I didn't put myself into a hole and was able to apply pressure through the whole race and finish hard. Thought I would end up 4th behind the top masters runner but dug deep in the last 100m and got him with 20ish meters to go. I really think the Dragonfly spikes are super forgiving on the legs because my achilles and feet felt totally fine after this which never would have happened with older spikes I have raced in.
