Not what I had planned on today but it felt pretty good, unlike most of this week (not sure why but I haven't felt great in our out of training all week. Maybe the race and long run combo that I haven't done in a while?). WPI track was closed for graduation so Lucas and I did a tempo on Saggy to kill the 20 minutes we were told to wait. We got back to the track and it was still closed so we went over to Foley after waiting a few minutes longer and talking to the cop at the track. We did just 4 200s because we were trying to meet up with Mark soon but they felt really good, if a little unfamiliar to my legs.

Lately I have been feeling like doing a variety of tempo work with shorter faster track intervals and hard hills has done a lot for me. It's hard for me to be really confident about what I need to race track because training at WPI was so different but tempos/short reps leave me feeling strong, somewhat fast and seems to keep me pretty healthy. Some occasional hard track workouts certainly have value but I have a really hard time hitting those after work days and I wonder if doing training that comes more naturally makes more sense, even if just because I am more likely to do it.
