1 hour delay to the race because of lightening. The majority of this race was run in the rain, which was actually pretty nice considering the time of year and how hot it normally would be.
The river was overrunning the trail at the 2 mile mark. It was literally up to our knees as we waded through it. Hence, the slower splits on mile 2 and 3.
The last 1.5 miles were into a really strong head-wind. The weather was really a wildcard out there.
Overall though, happy with my effort. I need to work on my speed. I really should have turned in something closer to my PR given the cooler weather.
