North Coast Inland Trail Marathon, Elyria, OH
QUALIFIED FOR BOSTON!!!! Fantastic run, weather was perfect, course was perfect and I felt great. I knew the whole time I would make my Boston time. Ran a great first half at 1:39:39. Slowed a bit more than I would have liked the second half, but managed to hold on to finish at 3:30:28. This was the first marathon I have ever been able to run the whole way. No walking at all. Had a blister on my left heal develop the break causing a deep blood stain on the favorite shoes!
I truly enjoyed the marathon, was small and very low key. Talked with a few runners afterword and felt a great comradely.
