Notes

Started warming up and the hammy wasn't noticeable. Took a split second to decide I wanted to just push a little until I found when it would shut me down (really shouldn't do this with injuries).

1. Miles 1-2 were comfortable, just a slight niggle in the right calf. My stride also just felt smoother and more natural. I'm not sure if that's just the day, the different shoes or getting more sleep?

2. Mile 3 started to feel a touch harder and I noticed my right hip was tight.

3. Mile 5 I started to really push almost to a true LT pace and that lasted about .75 miles then my stride changed so I finished out the mile and shut it down. This felt different than yesterday, the hammy didn't really hurt, the groin did (way inside upper thigh), and I had trouble straightening the leg, it was like doing repeated bent leg leg swings ... which generates no power.

4. did some carioca and it was much easier to move to my left than my right.

I'm almost wondering if it's not the hammy that's the problem, it's just a symptom of the calf or hip... who knows.

Anyway I know I can still run fast when the stride doesn't change/lock me up. It also felt really good to move a little.
