Notes
I can't remember the last time I ran three days in a row. I would like to build to five or six days of exercise each week if my body lets me and if I make good decisions about not overdoing it. Even if each workout is not long in either duration or time, I would at least like to be regular. So, I guess this is good practice in building that foundation. I think I've said that before. I felt like running today. So, I did. I made a bit of a change, though. Instead of my normal flat route, I used the path by the lake which has some very mild slopes along the shore and across and up the boat ramp and back. It was a nice change. But, my relative freshness when I first started and that coinciding with a slight downhill slope ramped my HR up too quickly. I should have done a better job of keeping that in check. I added a new piece of data this time, though it only seems to show on the Garmin Connect page. My REI dividend, combined with a 20% off sale, let me pick up a Garmin Foot Pod for a total of $0.88. It will let me track what my natural cadence is before I try to adjust it. To give my achilles a slight break, I wore my Inov-8 F-Lite 195, which have a 3-4mm differential.
