Notes
the race went according to plan and most everything went well. had an excellent nights sleep the night before. tried to get extra sleep about an extra 1/2 hour all week. got off to good start in the A coral, gu at 7, 14 and 18 and then alternated water adn gatorade. ran with chris the whole time until mile 23 i think. felt relaxed the whole time and legs felt pretty good until about 224 when quads started getting pretty sore. chris went at 23 and i was no longer ready to push hard. tried to keep him in sight but too many runners. pushed fairly hard in but could have done a llittle harder but knew i was under 3 hours and had no chance at catching chris so just finished comfortably hard rather than killing myself. so felt like i left 30 seconds out there at the end. but that is fine this time. very happy with the results and excited to keep training to get lower in the 2 hours!
got most of splits on my watch but fingers were cold so didn't hit watch hard enough. but here is what i have.
