Silver Comet

Notes

Ran at silver comet. First 5 miles were slow and easy; a bit chilly. Switched from trainers to DS Racers (flats) and took off. Hit 5:36-5:41 pace for the fist 30 min marathon pace and approx 5:22 pace for the first 5 min tempo. Second 30 min marathon pace felt tougher, averaged in the 5:40's before dropping another 5:2X for the last 5 minutes of Tempo... Followed up with an easy cooldown to make it 19 miles for the day.

My legs felt good, but tight towards the end. This was my last real, long hard effort for this marathon buildup. 3 weeks until the race. All the hard work is done now, the rest is just eating right and staying healthy and I'll get the sub 2:30 I think I'm capable of...
