Notes

Sunny morning with a touch of humidity. Plan was to do 10 miles doing the big singletrack loop and coming down the Ledge trail circle around on the ATV and then go back up Ridge and keep going on the loop. Felt ok on Homestead. A huge Maple came down across the trail on the second half. I was already pretty hot when got the ATV road. Water was roaring pretty good under the beaver bridge from all the rain we had yesterday. Started up Ridge and ran most of it until I got to the long climbs. Felt like shit. Hot no energy ended up walking a lot of it. Considered turning around and calling it a day. Finally got to the top and sat down for a long while. Really discouraged that I felt so bad, couldn't figure out what was going on. Cooled down and had a GU and decided just to finish the loop and stay off the ATV. It would be slippery with huge puddles any way from the rain. Once I got running again I felt better. Not sure if it was because I was going downhill and the GU probably helped. The was a bit of a cool breeze which felt good too. Stepped on a big round rock at one point but slipped off and fell on my hip. Soft landing though, no damage done. Stopped at the Deer Path bridge to splash my face and wash the dirt off my leg.
