Notes

Sunny, cold, light wind, 14 deg., wind chill 3. Brought my spikes and decided to try the Honda Path out to the Rec Park. There was a couple inches of fresh powder from last night on the trail. There had been an ATV with tracks out this morning so I ran in his track. There was also some snowshoe tracks I’m guessing may have been Fr. Nathan. Ran the road to the boat launch at the Swift then put on my spikes and climbed down the snowbank to the trail. The running was pretty good. Once I got to the trail that cuts across the brook, there hadn’t been as much traffic. The snowshoer had been through but the wind drifted in his tracks. It was slower and I broke through quite a bit, but still pretty runnable. Made it all the way out to the tennis courts where the snowmobile looped around and came back. Was able to run with my glove off the second half of the way out an all the way back. Not as cold as I thought it would be. The sun was nice. Great day to be out. Pretty easy pace, legs still a little tired from Saturday’s long run and the powder was slower going.

Gear: pants, gray W2B long t, cotton T, Baxter buff, warm headband gloves (shed), sunglasses, water pack.
