Sunny, a little cool, humid. Wanted to do an easy run after the race yesterday but still get some miles in. Decided to run the ATV roads out to the Bradford Loop then take the Deer Path back. Met Val and Emma in the parking lot, they were just getting ready to go. They were going to run to Twitchell's where Val had parked her car, then Mindy was going to meet them there and run back with Emma.
The first big hill was tough. After a mile or two legs loosened up a little. Walked a few of the hills as practice for the LMS race. Stopped to look at the river at the Ledge trail, it is really low. Stopped at intersection with Bradford Loop and had a GU. Ran down and found the entrance to the Deer Path trail, put a little marker up to make it more visible. Felt like I was running pretty good on the single track, stopping here and there to pick up sticks and branches. Caught my left toe on a stub sticking up off a root and fell, not bad though. Stopped at the stream, which wasn't flowing, to wash my hands off. Made it back out to the ATV road and headed for the parking lot. Met Glenn Poulin and another guy coming up the big hill on bikes. Good run felt ok at the end.
