Notes

Sunny, cold, gusty wind got stronger as run went along. Plan was to do nine miles. Ran up to Turkey Lane and ran up it, then turned down Pike road. Wind a little gusty at times, but not as cold as I expected it to be. Just after turning onto Pike road, about 2.5 miles in, I felt a sharp pain on the back of my knee towards the outside. Actually had to stop and rub it a little. Not IT band pain, a little lower than that, felt like a tendon or something, not muscle. Slowed pace for a bit and it didn't get worse. Felt like if I ran on my forefoot more it wasn't as bad. Got back to Turkey lane and turned around to run the loop backwards. Wind was in my face all the way back up Pike Road and was pretty cold. Not as bad on Turkey Lane. On the way back South Road it looked like I was going to be about a half mile short of 9, so I took a right into Eastern View road, where they're building the new house. Ran up to the cul du sac and looped back. This made up the extra 1/2 mile. Ran hard up Orchard hill with the wind in my face and finished at the driveway right at 9 miles. Good run except for the pain in the back of my knee. Still pretty sore later, will probably have to bail on plan to run at Riverlands tomorrow.

Gear: NB tights, wh to bk long tech T, Brooks jacket, warm headband, gloves (on and off, mostly off)
