Notes

Cloudy and cool at the start but turned off sunny, 42 degrees. Had to work in the morning so headed down to the Riverlands when I got home. Plan was to do 10 miles and run the reverse of the OSGR run last week. Looped around the parking lot to start out and then headed out the ATV road. When I got to the singletrack I noticed the land on the other side of the big intersection, including the entrance to Fox Run had been posted No Trespassing by Kurt Youland. These signs were not there last weekend. I followed the signs all the way down the right hand side of the road to the gate at the sand pit. Ran back up and took the singletrack. Felt good and the pace felt decent. At the end of Homestead I took a left and headed out the ATV to the Ledges trail. Went up the Ledges, after the steps I felt like I tweaked my left back sciatic nerve. Didn't seem to bother me for too long. Ran and hiked all the way up to the top. Stopped at the Ridge trail to get out a GU and then kept going. Sun was at my back so it made seeing the trail a little tricky. Caught my foot a few times but never went down. Really focused on where my feet were landing. When I got to Fox Run I didn't see any Posted signs in the area. Ran out Fox Run and then got out another GU once I got to the ATV. My back was starting to bother me again and the pain was starting to go down my butt and back of my left leg. I stopped at the little lookout to look at the river and finish my GU. Once I started again my leg was killing me. Thought I might have to start walking. Didn't get any worse and by the time I got back to the picnic area it seemed better. Didn't stop very long so it wouldn't tighten up again. Took Homestead back and my back felt ok. Looped around the parking lot again to get to 10.5 miles. Beautiful afternoon. Good long run. Except for my back everything felt good. Felt like I could've gone longer. Back ok later.
