Notes

Cloudy, warm, very humid, 71 deg., dew point 65. Decided not to go too far since it is so humid. Had GU before I left and then headed over the high school MTB trails. Kept it easy warming up for the first mile or so. Took Take-Off and ran at a moderate pace. I found the third section, just past the log bridge, and took that to the laydown area. Ran up to Fawntastic and ran the pretty hard to Bull Pine ran that at a moderate pace. Stopped once to scope out removing the junk along the stream and then again to pee. Once I got out to Scottie's field I picked up the pace and ran hard all the way to the hill then sprinted up the hill. Ran to the new trail sign then walked to recover to the singletrack back to the front of the school. Ran that pretty hard as well. Backed off running by the school to Hancock. Running along the grass I saw someone in a red shirt come down off the side street from Somerset and wave to me. Kind of young guy and looked kinda rugged. Couldn't figure out who it was. Picked up the pace to moderate effort to try and close the gap. They were running the same way I was. I took the long straight dirt trail to the end of the walking path and ran that pretty hard to try and cut them off. As I made the turn up to the paved trail, it was Andrew Arsenault. Haha, I didn't think he was that rugged. He said he'd run back to the mill with me. I was gassed but tried to keep up with his pace, which was faster than I would've done it. Anyway, good to finish with him back at the mill and he kept going back to the office. Good run, made it harder than I planned. Legs were tired at the beginning but felt ok most of the run. I felt my left back a couple times getting tight but ok at the end. Can't wait to get rid of this humid weather and have some nice fall weather later this week.

Gear: shorts, Pineland tank, head band, water pack
