Notes

Partly sunny, hot and humid, 83 deg, dewpoint 60. Right Knee is still a little sore so I wanted to avoid the big downhills as much as possible. Ran out the Honda trails to take the trail under the Ledge. Felt like crap after the 1st mile, almost turned around. Legs were tired, I had no energy and I was getting hot. The first two climbs up off Thompson Hill rode felt really hard. Power hiked the third one, then stopped to take off my shirt. Felt better and decided to slow the pace down and take it easy. Got out to the Swett Ave trail, looped around to make it 3 ½ miles and headed back. I felt much better. Took the lower trail back, since I hadn’t been on that one in a while. Quite a bit of slash but all runnable. Took it pretty easy on the rest of the downhills to the road. Picked up the pace a little on the Honda trail and after I made the climb up into the field I really picked it up and ran hard all the way to the trail head in Mexico. Pace was around 7:30, which was good, felt like I was moving fast but not really gassed. My left hip started to hurt once on the road, so I back off some. Slowed it down on the trail along the river back to the mill. Felt a lot better on the second half of this run.
