Notes

Mostly sunny, not too cold, but really windy, temp 30 deg., wind chill 20. Only had time for a shorter run today. Also, didn’t want to put too many miles on my left foot. It was pretty sore most of the day yesterday, but this morning it was ok. Ran out to the high school the usual way, roads were really icy in spots so had to be careful. Didn’t run a real hard pace, but easy to moderate. Headed back up on Penobscot but didn’t turn to go to Stickytown, but kept going up Penobscot, crossed Lincoln ave, then turned up Maine ave and back down Franklin to the Mill. Picked up the pace some by Stevens park. Jumped onto the sidewalk coming down Franklin, which was a mistake because it was all ice. There was enough snow on the edges to keep my footing, but had to go slow. From this point on my foot started to get sore. Inside of left knee was sore on and off too. Good run to start the week. Hopefully, my foot isn’t too sore later.

Gear: pants, short tech T, long cotton tee, sunglasses, water pack, gloves (off most of the way back)
