Notes

Cloudy, cool, 40 deg. pretty nice for January. Had a GU and poop before I changed up. Plan was 5 miles today. Legs felt tired and creaky starting out but ok after I warmed up. Kept the pace a little harder than Tuesday. Looped through the beach parking lot and across the bridge. Kept going after the bridge, up the hill and around the corner to the intersection. I stopped to check the distance on my phone and it was 2.6 miles. Turned around and tried to keep the pace at a slightly uncomfortable pace the rest of the way back. The pace was slower on the way back but I the effort was definitely harder. At about 4.5 miles I started feeling crampy but I was able to let some farts go safely and felt better. By the time I got to the end of he sidewalk my legs were toast. I did push hard, but not all out, back to the sign past the gate. Easy jog back to the car. Walked down to the bench to cool down. Good run, pretty hard effort. Core was tired most of the way back, but everything else felt ok. Nice day to run.
