Notes

Spending a few days in Rockport at the Island View Inn. A really beautiful spot. The Beech Hill Preserve was really close and I've seen on FB the TRoMMers run there so I decided to check it out. The trails were pretty technical, lots of roots and rocks but very runnable. Went up the longer route all the way to the top. There's a stone building with a sod roof that's pretty nice. I looped around that to check out the 360 view. Went down the easy gravel trail on the other side of the mountain all the way to the parking area on that side. Turned around and ran back up. Looped around the building again and went down the shorter trail. Really had to watch my footing around the rocks and roots. Decided to do another loop back up to the top and down since it was only a mile. I was a little short of 5 miles when I got back to the parking lot so I went back out for a bit to get there. Good hill training but not a lot of options. The view from the top was great. Felt good.

Gear: shorts, NB tank, head band, water pack
