---More than 15 seconds faster than Wednesday with two less dry-heaves (1) and one-less stop (0). Make it two runs in 471 days!---

Got up right at 5:45 for today, doing my normal routine. This routine changes, but once I’m running it’s basically this:

* Log my sleep on my phone for my excel document

* Take a 25-minute shit (used to be 30 minutes) plus whatever more to finish to a page break/chapter of my book

* Weigh myself for my excel document and log it into the phone

* Change into my running gear

* Weigh myself with all my stuff on for RunningAhead and log it into the phone

* Fire up the laptop to get fired up (watching a queued Flotrack video) while putting on my shoes and stretching (brief)

* Log some important values (weather - exact location via Wunderground)

* Turn on my Garmin and wait for the satellites to find my location. This can take five or six minutes sometimes

* Finally start running

This took extra long today, mainly because of taking a while to decide to watch Flotrack and then waiting for the satellites. Anyway, my legs felt much better than yesterday’s day off. This is usually the opposite as the second day is worse for me. I made it until about 0.13 miles until my quads started to burn and my breathing woke up the neighbors. Like yesterday, I focused on just getting to the top of the hill, knowing that I could coast on the downhill portion. I was about three minutes later than Wednesday and the bus that was going alongside me, stopping to pick up kids on my right, was ahead of me today.

I still felt relatively good considering my shape/weight, etc., for a long time today, crossing the mile in 8:43.63, almost 13 seconds faster than Wednesday (8:56.35). Unlike two days ago, I didn’t want to stop once I hit the bottom of the hill (~1.10 miles). I turned the corner and that changed a little bit as I started to go uphill again, but I still felt OK. I crossed 1.20 miles and thought, ‘No dry-heaves yet. This was where I stopped AND had my second-dry heave two days ago.’ Then the first dry-heave came just seconds later at 1.22 miles. I just spit some and kept chugging along up the small hill, turning left on Arnold Way and finishing more than 15 seconds faster than Wednesday. I was waiting on a final dry-heave, but it never came. Although I still felt like garbage throughout the run and once I finished, it was nowhere near as bad as Wednesday.

In fact, every part of today was better than two days ago, including pace (8:53 today, 9:01 two days ago), overall feel, post-run feel, average heart rate (159, 183), weight (188.2, 190.0), dry-heaves (3, 1), and stops (0, 1). The only thing that was worse today was the max heart rate (190 today, 183 on Wednesday). That being said, I think the average heart rate should have been higher today with me not stopping, but maybe I’m just in that good of shape. No.

Not sure when my next run will be, but hoping to run a flatter out-and-back two-miler. Maybe Saturday?
