Notes

Cold day, no warm ups, parked about a mile from the start.

Was able to jog about a mile total to warm up. Did some strides. Was able to go out solid from the start, a little to fast in the first half mile, however faded slightly. Hairpin in mile 2, uphill for 600m of mile 3, then downhill to the finish. Felt like I needed to throw up at the end, however looking back at the race, could have held the faster initial pace. I think I should work harder on staying focused and keeping form good as I fatigue. Primary weakness was the heart/breathing and not muscle fatigue, which was surprising given the 30miles over the previous two days. Once again, an indicator that aerobic capacity continues to increase.

Overall was happy with the finish and setting a nearly 1 minute PR in the 5k.
