2 big laps (2 x 8.2), back to 63rd from Starbucks and back = 17.0 miles

Got up to Arrowhead to start my long run. Noticed pain in my right knee, kind of lingering. So, I decided to head back to the apartment and use the treadmill - that way if I needed to I could stop at any point. Much to my surprise (no surprise really), out pops my good ol' friend IT Band, this time on the right knee. Just when I think I'm starting to get into very good shape, of course, something like this happens. I'll test it out later this afternoon, or tomorrow morning to see if it was just a fluke...who knows?

Came back this afternoon and continued the run. No real pain the first 3 miles. From there on out, I just pushed through the IT Syndrome, ranging from annoying to almost unbearable. 4 hours later, my knee feels better, still a little achy though. Hopefully two days will allow the pain to subside. Here's to a very excruciating 17 miles!
