That first mile had several minutes of warmup, too.

Jogged up the hill to 124th, cruised down comfortably, and kept going. There are several short downhills at the start of this route. I just picked up speed and looked to maintain it. Tried to find that "I'm pushing, but in control" point that Jeff says indicates "tempo" pace.

It worked :) Felt like I could have done another mile, easy.
