This ride is pretty flat which is a nice switch from the past few rides i've done. I hung in a lot better not having to deal with a lot of hills. I found myself riding in the higher front gear for a lot longer than ever before which kept my pace up. I definitely felt stronger on this ride, however, i was definitley tired near the end and my butt was OVER being on the seat. I can only imagine adding 40 more miles. it still seems quite daunting. I almost chose to go the 80 mile route..but i'm glad that i didn't this go around. Maybe next Saturday.
