Yay! I completed my own little half-marathon today! No issues until around mile 10 where I began to feel the need to take an epic poop. This urge stuck with me the rest of the run, drastically slowing me down. It hampered my gait and at mile 11.5 I began to get a pain under my left arch. I fiddled with my form and alternated running in the grass and on the sidewalk.

During this run I learned the importance of nutrition. I realize mine really sucks. During the second half of my run, I started to feel as if I were running on empty. I didn't eat anything before my run and had at least 4 alcoholic drinks last night. I feel that good nutrition is a piece of the puzzle that will get my past distances over 13.1.

Nonetheless, I am satisfied with today's run. I generally kept my intended pace throughout and finished without any major hiccups.

This was a good ending to the month. Looking at my March stats, I creamed last month's totals as far as total milage.
