Loughrigg fell race, 330m ascent. 41st, and would have enjoyed it even more if I hadn't been 9th and exactly two minutes quicker in 2009! (although field both larger and faster than in 2009). Blasted through the park to get over the humpback bridge, but over-did it somewhat so that 25 people overtook me up the steep tarmac path. Lovely weather. Parked at my mum's house.
You think you're at the top - but there's another one or two of those Loughrigg lumps to go ... Descended much better than at Pendle - and a much more enjoyable course for me. I had forgotten that even descending is hard work. Good race.
