I had one goal, run my first sub 3 hour marathon in Boston. I had watched the 2009 Boston marathon on tv many times, read everthing I could find on the race and I used Bart Yasso training plan. I had lunch with Bart the day before and met up with him at 7:00am for a private bus ride to the start. I raced very smart went out at a good pace and then hip my splits perfect, at mile 20 I was about 3 minutes fast but was feeling good, at heartbreak hill I took off and never looked back. At the finish I walked about 1/2 half mile to the The University Club and showerd and had with lunch with Runner's World Editors David Willey, Bart Yasso, Jennifer Van Allen and Michelle! This was a boston marathon experience few runners could match!
