Notes

Official time was 19:01. The first mile was pretty much all downhill, the second mile mostly rolling, and the third mile mostly uphill. I hit my splits pretty well but couldn't get up the last big hill quickly enough to get it done. I felt pretty good at the finish and don't expect any soreness or anything tomorrow. Maybe I'll take an easy recovery run tomorrow and go longer again on Tuesday.

Now I'm finally (!) ready to start building base again for the Fall season. My recent race performances tell me that I need to get a lot stronger and longer. My current plan for June, July, and August is to get to 45 mpw in 5 or 6 runs per week. My long run will likely top out at 15 miles or so. I won't do anything fast until I level off at 45 mpw for at least three weeks. Instead, I'll try to do some hills at least once per week to help build strength.
