Easy for the first 3 miles, then picked it up to tempo pace for miles 3-8. Stopped for water at mile 8, when an old man, who was walking the track, came up asking questions. I didn't want to be rude, so I spoke with him for a bit. By the time he was done, my muscles were all cold again. I had planned to do 8 miles at marathon pace, but ended up with only 5. I finished the last 5 miles at an easier pace.
