Thunder Road Half Marathon, Charlotte, NC
Cool Temp @36-38degrees F at race time; @48-50 at finish.
Wore Running Pants, double long sleeve running shirts, gloves, & running hat. Could have run in shorts and maybe a short sleeve running shirt combined wit a long sleeve instead; started sweating around mile 2. Running Shoes ASICS GT-2000 - 2 (B). If not sick, pace would have been faster. Used belt to carry water bottle, good idea. Was not 100%, sick with cough for past week. Loaded self wit coughing syrup, Advil, & used cough drops during the race/
Hilly course; trained 100% treadmill. Continue 2 to 4% Incline work on treadmill, I could tell a difference this year on how well I was able to take the early hills.
Plan: increase speed on hill workouts and # of hill workouts /wk to strengthen legs
