Really really good day for me. Just a 3k basically all out. I was in control the entire time. I led all but about 400 toward the beginning and 400 with about 1000 to go. Other than that, I was setting the pace and just running the way I wanted to. Piane stepped out on the track a couple times and told me to calm it down pretty much every time I picked it up. So I definitely think I was capable of going faster. It didn't really hurt until about 2 laps (640m) to go. And at that point it's just get to the finish as fast as you can. I bet my last quarter was pretty fast. It was just a solid effort. I don't think it was the fastest I could have gone, and I think that next year I'll be ready to do that workout with Group 1. A couple of the guys went around 8:25, and I don't think I would have been that far behind that if I had run today. So I'm looking forward to track. I think it's very obvious that I'm in super good shape.
