not sure why weight is up, but disappointing... south wind. heron at the fountain and an egret south of the bridge. saw a cormorant on the wire at taiheibashi on the way up. waves ok but blown out a bit, not too many surfers. beach seemed none the worse for last night's fireworks crowds.
