Not sure why but I feel like I'm desperately fighting back to form. Tried for MP on the flat beach, and pretty much ran 7:10s for the 5.5 miles, but was definitely feeling the beat-down from the LR this wknd, which is unusual for me when I'm in shape. My 150HR pace was 7:40 - 20 sec slower than usual, and the legs were definitely dragging. Still, I cranked it out, and powered 7:10s on the beach, and then 8s on the climb, for a solid HR workout. I'm still hoping I can miraculously get into shape in time for Napa, but it's going to be really, really hard.
