Amazingly, I managed to get 10 hours of sleep in last night and I felt great in the morning. So, I took advantage and squeezed in a long run. I felt great at the start, so I actually had to try to slow down and save some energy. I was against the wind for miles 7, 8, and 9. So I was happy with how my body handled that. Mile 12 was brutal with that tough uphill. I made a real effort up that hill to maintain my pace. That realy hurt me for mile 13 but since it was downhill I was able to keep it together and rest enough to finish strong on mile 14.
I was extremely pleased with this run considering how terrible the past two weeks were. They weather today helped out a ton too. Hopefully this is the start of a great middle segment of the build-up. I'm coming for you, Raleigh!
