Notes
Much better. This was awesome...still a bit euphoric over this run...the one that I had been thinking about all summer while I trained.
Due to relaxed approach before the run (in contrast to my first leg) and the cooler temps, I was moving quickly from the beginning. I also tackled the hills with a bit more caution. Struggled again (they are steep), and walked for a few telephone poles in a couple of spots, but again regained speed as soon as it leveled off. The last 4 miles was flat to downhill, and I was cruising...felt awesome.
It was pretty wild running through desolate country roads at 3:00 AM...nobody else in sight and totally dark. A lot of unknown noises in the woods.
2 days later, and I am still smiling thinking about this leg...feel really good about it.
